Step 1: Go to https://canada-soccer.myshopify.com/collections/referee , and purchase the "entry level referee course". There are both English and French versions to choose from, either one is acceptable. The cost for the online portion is $40.
Step 2: Complete the online theory prior to March 20th, 2026. Failure to complete the theory by the deadline may result in you not being able to attend the in-person portion of the clinic.
Step 3: Upon completion of the online theory, email a copy of the certificate of completion to sdsrai.referee.development@gmail.com . This must also be done prior to March 20th, 2026.
Once the certificate has been sent, further information will be provided as to how to register and pay for the in-person session. The prices are as follows:
District Referee: Entry Level Course Cost $240 (Age 16+ years)
IMPORTANT:
Due to the level of games offered by the SDSRAI, and in accordance with Canada Soccer, all referees that register with the SDSRAI must be at least 14 years of age. At this time, no exceptions will be made to allow any members below the minimum age.
